Henry P. Rammelt deține un doctorat în științe politice de la Universitatea din Lyon și un master în ști-ințe politice și sociologie de la Universitatea de Tehnologie din Dresda. În prezent, predă la Şcoala Națională de Studii Politice și Administrative din București. A făcut parte din echipa de cercetare a Sci-ences Po Paris pentru proiectele europene LIVEWHAT și EURYKA. Din august 2015 până în septembrie 2017, a cercetat reziliența tinerilor în perioade de criză în cadrul proiectului european de cercetare „LIVEWHAT - Living with Hard Times: How Citizens React to Economic Crises and Their Social and Politi-cal Consequences” (finanțat de Seventh Framework Program for research, technological development and demonstration al UE). Din august 2018 până în septembrie 2019, a lucrat la proiectul de cercetare transnațional “EURYKA - Reinventing Democracy in Europe: Youth Doing Politics in Times of Increasing Inequalities” (finanțat în cadrul programului UE Orizont 2020) privind impactul inegalităților asupra par-ticipării politice a tinerilor. În timpul doctoratului, a avut două burse de cercetare (de la Academia Română și de la AUF/Universitatea din București) și o bursă pentru cercetători străini (de la Institutul Cultural Român). Cercetările sale sunt dedicate transformărilor societale, participării politice, mișcărilor sociale și societății civile (în principal Europa Centrală și de Est). Ultima sa carte, Activistes Protestataires en Hongrie et Roumanie, a fost publicată de l’Harmattan (Paris) în 2018. De asemenea, Henry Rammelt este co-regizor al filmului documentar Portavoce - The Romanian Culture of Protest și scenarist și asistent de regie al seriei documentare Imaginary Youth.

Henry P. Rammelt holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Lyon. He studied political science and sociology at the University of Technology Dresden and the Institute for Political Studies Lyon. He is currently teaching at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest. He has been part of Sciences Po’s research team for the European projects LIVEWHAT and EURYKA. From August 2015 to September 2017 he has been researching youth resilience in times of crisis within the framework of the comparative European research project “LIVEWHAT —Living with Hard Times: How Citizens React to Economic Crises and Their Social and Political Consequences” (financed by the EU’s Seventh Framework Program for research, technological development and demonstration). From August 2018 until September 2019, he has been working on the cross-national research project “EURYKA - Reinventing Democracy in Europe: Youth Doing Politics in Times of Increasing Inequalities” (financed under the EU’s Horizon 2020 program) on the impact of inequalities on youth political participation. During his Ph.D. he obtained two research fellowships (Romanian Academy and University of Bucharest) and one individual research grant (Romanian Cultural Institute). His research is dedicated to societal transformations, political participation, social movements, and civil society (mainly Central and Eastern Europe). He is the author of Activistes Protestataires en Hongrie et Roumanie (Paris: L’Harmattan, 2018) and the co-director of the documentary film Portavoce – The Romanian Culture of Protest and assistant director of Imaginary Youth.
